The Beautiful Paradox of Parenting

Losing Yourself to Find What Matters Most

ðŸŒļ "The most expensive thing in life costs nothing: the memory of your mother's hand in yours."

Parenting isn’t just about raising children — it’s about caring, giving, and growing through every relationship that depends on us. Here’s a heartfelt look at the paradox of parenting in modern India — where exhaustion meets purpose, sacrifice meets satisfaction, and chaos becomes the most beautiful chapter of life.

ðŸ’Ŧ The 2 A.M. Moment – Where It All Begins

It’s 2 a.m. The house is silent except for the faint hum of the refrigerator and a soft whimper — maybe it’s the baby, or my aging elders calling for water.

I shuffle across the floor, stepping on a Lego (again), holding a bottle in one hand and my sanity in the other.

This is parenting. Or caregiving. Or — as I call it — life management with no user manual.

We live in a world that measures success in promotions and paychecks, yet the real work happens here — in dimly lit rooms, holding the hands of those who can’t keep theirs steady.

And somehow, this exhaustion feels like the most meaningful thing I’ll ever do.

ðŸŒą The Broader Definition – Parenting Beyond Parenthood

Parenting isn’t just about biological bonds. It’s about nurturing life wherever it needs you.

The daughter spoon-feeding her mother, who once fed her.

The son teaching his father how to video call on WhatsApp.

The sister pausing her dreams to care for her differently-abled sibling.

The friend who becomes family when no one else shows up.

Parenting is not a role — it’s a responsibility of the heart.

It’s the art of giving your energy, your patience, and your love, even when you’re running on 3 hours of sleep and two cups of coffee.

The Cost-Benefit Reality Check – What We Lose and What We Gain

Let’s be real — caregiving comes with its own non-refundable price tag.

What We Lose:

🕒 Sleep — hello, dark circles.

💎 Social life — unless talking to the school principal counts as networking.

💞 Career momentum — goodbye appraisals, hello “best mom” certificates.

ðŸ’ļ Financial freedom — diapers, tuition, and medicines are the new EMIs.

ðŸ‘Ī Personal identity — we’re no longer “me,” we’re “someone’s caregiver.”

What We Gain (That Money Can’t Buy):

❤️ The first “I love you, Mom.” (A real mom’s diary)

ðŸĪ The warm grip of your father’s hand when you help him stand.

🌈 The deep, wordless satisfaction that you mattered — not for what you achieved, but for what you gave.

We lose calendar years, but gain lifetime memories.

We pause our dreams, only to live inside someone else’s miracle.

The Indian Family Challenge – Where Love Meets Load

Parenting in India is both a blessing and a battle.

We are raised on values that glorify sacrifice — “Parivar ke liye sab kuch karna padta hai.”

Joint families, deep respect for elders, shared living — it’s all beautiful, but also burdensome.

The sandwich generation — those raising children while caring for aging parents — are constantly grilled from both sides.

For many parents today — both women and men — the struggle cuts equally deep.

A career break is still seen as a setback, and pursuing personal dreams often comes wrapped in guilt.

Society still whispers, “How can they choose work over family?” — forgetting that caring for loved ones is also work, just the kind that doesn’t show up on a payslip.

Meanwhile, structural support is nearly absent — affordable daycare, elder-care facilities, flexible workplaces — all still evolving.

And yet, amidst this chaos, Indian families thrive on emotional richness that no economy can measure.

Because behind every overworked caregiver lies a love story for family — the kind that keeps the home, and the heart, alive.

The “Free Job” Fallacy – Redefining Value

Once upon a time, parenting was sacred.

Now, it’s called “unpaid labor.”

We’ve turned one of life’s purest acts into a performance review.

💎 “They say parenting is a thankless job. They’re wrong.

The thanks comes 20 years later — when they call you friend.”

Let’s get one thing straight: everything priceless can’t be monetized.

The smell of your baby’s hair, your father’s laughter, the sound of your child calling “Papa” — these aren’t “unpaid moments.”

They’re the currency of love itself.

Yes, it’s invisible.

Yes, it’s unpaid.

But it’s also the most powerful work on Earth.

We document everything for social media — but how often do we live it?

We’ll forget the office deadlines, but remember the bedtime stories.

We’ll forget the promotions, but cherish the moments when someone said, “You were there when I needed you.”

🌟 Stories That Inspire

1. The Mother Behind a Missile Man

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s beloved “Missile Man,” never forgot his roots.

His mother, despite poverty, sold homemade snacks to fund his education. She often skipped meals so her children could eat.

Kalam said, “I may have worn many hats, but the crown my mother placed on my head through her sacrifices was the heaviest and most precious.”

That’s not just motherhood — it’s nation-building in disguise.

2. The Grandmother Who Learned WhatsApp

Seventy-year-old Kamala Bai from Nagpur learned video calling so she could see her grandchildren daily.

Now she begins each morning with, “Good morning, my babies! I’m not alone anymore.”

Her wrinkles may deepen, but her connection only grows stronger.

3. The Father Who Turned Stories into Lessons

Ravi, an engineer, used bedtime stories to teach his son life lessons.

Thirty years later, at his graduation, the son said:

“My father didn’t just raise me. He raised the voice inside me.”

😂 The Humor in the Chaos

Parenting is half emotion, half circus.

That moment when your toddler, teenager, and elderly parent all need you simultaneously.

You’re on a work call, explaining WiFi to your father, and trying to convince your 3-year-old that vegetables are not poison.

“Me-time”? These days, it mostly means sighing for help — quietly, politely, with a heart still full of dreams and the will to pull through, balancing emotions and ambitions in the same breath.

💎 “Career advice never warned me about negotiating with a preschooler while fixing my father’s Bluetooth hearing aid.”

Still, amid burnt rotis and lost patience, you find laughter — because that’s what keeps the love alive.

Perfection is overrated. Presence is everything.

The Call to Reclaim – Redefining the Narrative

It’s time to reclaim the dignity of caregiving.

Let’s stop calling it a “free job.” Let’s call it soul work.

To every caregiver, here’s your reminder:

ðŸŒļ See your role with fresh eyes — you’re shaping humanity.

ðŸŒļ Document memories in your heart, not just your phone.

ðŸŒļ Ask for help without guilt — it takes a village, not a hero.

ðŸŒļ Laugh at the chaos — it’s love’s favorite disguise.

ðŸŒļ Refuse to let society undervalue your worth.

💎 “In India, we grew up believing family is everything — yet today, many are forced to send their parents to old age homes, not out of choice, but out of chaos.

Because between survival, careers, and endless responsibilities, we’re all just trying to hold the pieces together — even when our hearts break in the process.”

The truth?

You are doing sacred work in a world that has forgotten what sacred means.

🌷 Closing Reflection – The Most Expensive Thing Costs Nothing

In India, parents aren’t worshipped — they’re lived with, argued with, laughed with, and learned from. That’s what makes their love timeless.

But every caregiver is a living blessing.

Because the most expensive thing in life costs nothing —

the memory of a hand held, a heart healed, and a life well-loved.

So, tonight, when you’re awake at 2 a.m., tired, messy, and maybe a little weepy — remember this:

You’re not just doing chores.

You’re writing the most human love story ever told.

ðŸŒŋ Excuse Me, Life — Can I Speak to My Soul?

Life on Autopilot: Doing Everything, Feeling Nothing, and Still Calling It a Good Day

*Responsibility says, “You should.” Obligation says, “You must.”

But your soul whispers, “Can I please just be?”*

☀️ Morning Chaos & the Great Adulting Show

The alarm goes off.

And boom — another episode of “The Great Adulting Show” begins.

We roll out of bed like half-baked parathas — warm on one side, raw on the other — and start our daily mission: to be responsible human beings.

We feed the kids, charge the phones, reply to the boss’s “quick check-in” (that’s never quick), and somehow find time to water a plant we’ve already emotionally neglected. ðŸŒŋ

By noon, we’ve fulfilled 47 responsibilities and 13 unspoken obligations — and yet we still feel like we forgot something (probably ourselves).

ðŸŽŊ “We Do Everything Right… Except Feeling Right.”

Let’s be honest — these days, living feels like ticking checkboxes.

Brushed teeth

Paid bills

Smiled at neighbor (optional)

Pretended to meditate

Survived another round of small talk with the neighbor

Somewhere between the “should” and the “must,” we stop asking, “Do I even want to?”

Responsibility keeps us moving forward, but obligation quietly puts us on autopilot mode.

And before we know it, life starts living us — not the other way around.

🧠 Mini Reality Check

If we wrote our diary honestly, it would probably read like this:

“Dear Life, today I was amazing at doing things I didn’t want to do. Love, Me.”

We’ve mastered the art of appearing fine.

But fine is the most overused lie of modern adulthood.

“How are you?”

“I’m fine.”

No, you’re not. You’re functioning with Wi-Fi. There’s a difference. 😄

💎 “Responsibilities Are Heavy, But Joy Weighs Nothing — Carry More of It.”

What if — instead of surviving our to-do list — we sprinkled a bit of life between tasks?

ðŸŽĩ Sing while making breakfast (bonus points if it annoys your teenager).

😂 Laugh at your typos instead of editing them immediately.

Dance when you accidentally spill tea — you already made a mess, make it memorable.

These tiny rebellions make responsibility feel less like a duty and more like you being beautifully human.

🌞 Heart Talk: The Lost Art of Just Being

We don’t need to quit our responsibilities to live authentically — we just need to show up for ourselves in the middle of them.

Let the world see a version of you that smiles not because life is perfect,

but because you’ve learned to laugh through imperfection.

Slow down when everything screams “hurry.”

Breathe when everyone says “push.”

And when your soul whispers, “Can I please just be?” — listen.

 Ending Quote

“Life won’t always clap for you — sometimes it just hands you a broom.

But if you can dance while sweeping, you’ve already won.” 💃🕚

🌈 Final Note: A Gentle Reminder

You’re not behind. You’re not failing.

You’re just human — trying to balance love, work, chaos, and sanity.

So tomorrow, when your alarm rings again,

smile softly and say,

“Excuse me, Life — I’m speaking to my soul today.” ðŸ’Ŧ

“If this made you smile, share it with someone who forgot to breathe today.

Human Pollution: World Mental Health Day Special

Human Pollution: The Real Virus Nobody’s Masking Anymore

"It’s Not the Plastic in the Ocean — It’s the Toxic Thoughts in Our Heads That Need Recycling."

World Mental Health Day Special: The Day We All Pretend to Be Okay (and Mean It)

Every October 10, our feeds light up with beautiful posts:

ðŸĐĩ “Be kind to your mind.”

💚 “Check on your friends.”

and the iconic “It’s okay not to be okay.”

Lovely sentiments — until someone actually says, “Hey, I’m not okay,”

and we reply, “Arrey yaar, you think too much! Just chill!”

We don’t need therapists; we need fewer people giving WhatsApp-certified wisdom with zero emotional warranty.

Human Pollution: The Invisible Smog Around Us

“All is well — but not everyone is.”

We talk about air pollution, water pollution, plastic pollution —

but no one talks about the most toxic one: Human Pollution.

It’s the opinions, judgments, gossip, and “advice” we inhale every single day.

You can install an air purifier for your home, but who’s inventing one for your peace of mind?

You clean your house, your car, even your WhatsApp chat history —

but your headspace? Jam-packed with emotional junk from people who can’t even manage their own mood swings.

“Mood swings are my cardio.”

🎭 Live Examples: Because Everyone Knows at Least One of These People

The “Opinion Factory” Aunt:

“Beta, you look tired. Eat almonds.”

Translation: You look like a Wi-Fi signal during a storm.

She doesn’t mean harm — she’s just recycling judgment faster than Swiggy delivers food.

The “Comparison King/Queen” Friend:

You: “I got a new job!”

Them: “Cool. Salary?”

The joy evaporates faster than your confidence after hearing theirs.

The “Good Morning” WhatsApp Uncle:

Sends 35 flowers, 10 butterflies, and one random Sanskrit quote at 5:59 a.m.

Bro, the only sunrise I want to see right now is on my dreams.

The “Inspiration Without Expiration” Colleague:

You: “I’m burnt out.”

Them: “Winners never quit!”

My friend, I don’t need quotes. I need coffee, leave, and silence.

The Social Media Judge:

You post a smile → “Enjoying life too much, huh?”

You post a sad thought → “Depressed again?”

You post nothing → “Something’s wrong.”

💭 Why We’re All Mentally Tired (and Pretending We’re Not)

Because we treat peace like a luxury and opinions like oxygen.
Our minds are running marathons, trying to please everyone — parents, partners, bosses, algorithms.

We scroll through other people’s highlight reels and start questioning our bloopers.
We compare, overthink, cry, repeat — like Netflix episodes with no season finale.

🧘‍♀️ Mental Detox 101: For the Overloaded, Overthinking, Overcaring You

“Peace begins where opinions end.”

ðŸ’Ą Mute ruthlessly.
The mute button is self-care in digital form. Use it like deodorant — daily.

ðŸ’Ą Stop attending every argument you’re invited to.
Especially on family WhatsApp groups. You can’t change minds; you’ll only lose yours.

ðŸ’Ą Stop trying to prove you’re fine.
Even Google doesn’t have all the answers; why should you?

ðŸ’Ą Laugh at the chaos.
Half the world’s problems disappear when you learn to laugh at them.
(Example: deadlines. You can’t meet them, so greet them.)

ðŸ’Ą Care, but don’t carry.
You can love people without letting them live rent-free inside your head.

“Block negativity — not roads.”

ðŸĪ” A Funny Thing Happens When You Mind Your Own Business

Once upon a time, people minded their own business — and guess what? Everyone slept better.

Mutual respect was the ancient Wi-Fi — no signal issues, no interference.

But somewhere along the way, “caring for others” evolved into “comparing with others,” and now opinions spread faster than the common cold.

We started “checking on people” so much that we forgot to check on ourselves — and that’s how humanity began dying long before the funeral.

Final Thoughts: The Only Detox That Works

Mental health isn’t just about therapy, meditation, or quitting social media (though that helps).

It’s about protecting your peace in a world obsessed with noise.

So this World Mental Health Day, do something revolutionary

Don’t post a quote. Live one.

Smile at a stranger. Compliment someone. Forgive quickly.

And if nothing else works take a nap.

Because sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is simply not think.

“If this made you smile, share it to detox another mind.”

— Suma Adari | Observing humans like a scientist, describing them like a friend.

Believes mental health is serious business, best handled with a smile.

How Struggles Shape Legends

 The Strange Magic of Pressure

“Without pressure, diamonds stay coal and stories stay untold.”

Pressure is life’s way of nudging, shaking, and sometimes shaking again, just to see if we’ll turn into something better. Take carbon, bury it under the earth’s weight for millions of years—what do you get? A shiny diamond.

“Diamonds don’t shine because they escaped pressure—they shine because they survived it. Maybe your sparkle is just waiting for its turn.”

Humans? Throw them into failures, heartbreaks, deadlines, or bosses who think weekends are “optional,” and they can emerge as CEOs, innovators, or that friend who motivates everyone at parties.

But diamonds aren’t the only story. Pressure shows up in everyday life.

Life has a funny way of testing us. Deadlines, failures, heartbreaks, and challenges aren’t punishments—they’re the pressure that turns ordinary into extraordinary. Think about it: coffee beans need boiling water to become your survival juice. Caterpillars lock themselves in dark cocoons before flying. Even bitter olives must be crushed to release golden oil.

Humans Are No Different. Think about it:

  • The student who failed exams? Might be tomorrow’s CEO.

  • The professional rejected 20 times? Often, they build their own company next.

  • The person crying over instant noodles at 2 a.m.? Maybe just hungry… or maybe plotting their comeback.

Coal doesn’t whine, “Why me?!” It takes the heat and transforms. Humans can too.

Pressure doesn’t care if you’re rich, poor, introverted, extroverted, or still confused about your life’s purpose (aren’t we all?). It shows up uninvited—like Wi-Fi issues during online meetings.

Success under pressure isn’t easy. It comes with doubt, fear, effort, persistence, and small victories that keep you moving forward. But here’s the magic: every struggle is a stepping stone. Pressure teaches patience, resilience, and self-belief—turning setbacks into stories worth telling.

So if life is crushing you, smile. You’re not breaking—you’re being polished. And remember: diamonds, coffee, butterflies, and even olives all prove one thing: pressure creates brilliance.

“Pressure isn’t life crushing you—it’s life carving you. Every struggle is a sculptor’s strike, every setback a polish. You’re not breaking; you’re becoming.”

The Feelings and Efforts Behind Success

Here’s the real secret most people don’t talk about: success under pressure is never easy.

It comes with:

  • Doubt and fear: Feeling unsure if you can make it, questioning every decision.

  • Effort and persistence: Taking action anyway, even when the path is unclear or failures keep piling up.

  • Reflection and learning: Turning mistakes into lessons, not excuses.

  • Small victories: Celebrating tiny wins that keep you motivated amid the grind.

The strange magic of pressure is that it forces growth, but it also teaches patience, resilience, and self-belief. It reminds us that every struggle is not a roadblock—it’s a stepping stone.

Why Pressure Works (Even When It Feels Like Torture)

  • It kills laziness. Rent reminders, deadlines, and tough bosses—motivators like no other.

  • It sparks creativity. Panic invents solutions that comfort never could.

  • It builds resilience. Diamonds don’t crack easily—and neither do people who’ve been through the grind.

  • Pressure is life’s personal trainer: exhausting, annoying, but secretly making you stronger.

Final Thought

“Pressure is life’s secret recipe for transformation—and every great story, including yours, proves it. Embrace it, learn from it, and let it shape you into something legendary.”

Do eye drops fully restore near vision in one hour?

 From blur to clarity

“Can a single drop really bring back near vision in under an hour?”

Author: Suma Adari
Date: September 25, 2025

Summary (plain language)

Recent prescription eye-drop treatments for presbyopia (age-related loss of near vision) can improve near vision quickly — often within one hour of application. Products based on pilocarpine and a few newer combinations show a rapid onset for many patients. However, the degree of improvement, duration, and safety vary by formulation and individual, and long-term independent data remain limited.

Introduction

Presbyopia reduces the ability to focus on near objects as people age, and affects hundreds of millions worldwide. Traditional corrections include spectacles, contact lenses, or surgery. In recent years, topical pharmacologic options have emerged that can produce measurable near-vision gains within a short time after dosing. This article summarizes the current evidence about the speed of onset, whether drops can “fully restore” vision in one hour, and remaining limitations.

Mechanisms — simple explanation

Topical presbyopia treatments generally work by one of two approaches:

Pupil modulation (miotic) approach:

Drugs such as pilocarpine cause the pupil to constrict, increasing depth of focus and improving clarity for near tasks. Pilocarpine has a long clinical history (e.g., glaucoma) and is now formulated specifically for presbyopia.

Lens-targeting approach:
Experimental agents (for example, lipoic-acid–based formulations) aim to change biochemical properties of the lens to restore some elasticity. These tend to act more slowly and may require repeated dosing over weeks.

 How quickly do they work?

Pilocarpine-based drops (miotics): Clinical studies and product reports show improvement in near vision within minutes to about one hour for many users. Measurable gains were commonly reported at 30–60 minutes in trials.
Pilocarpine combinations (e.g., pilocarpine + NSAID): Some studies and clinical reports describe measurable near-vision improvement at the one-hour mark after application. These data are promising but often come from limited or early studies.
Lens-targeting drops: These typically show progressive improvement over days to months rather than immediate one-hour effects.

Bottom line:

Certain pilocarpine-based drops can produce clinically meaningful improvements within one hour for many patients. Whether they “fully restore” vision depends on baseline vision, individual response, and how “full restoration” is defined.

Evidence quality

  • Regulatory and randomized-trial evidence exists for pilocarpine formulations that show statistically significant near-vision improvement versus vehicle controls.
  • Peer-reviewed studies and systematic reviews summarize short-term efficacy and common side effects; independent long-term safety evidence for newer combinations is still growing.
  • Research gaps: Many reports are industry-sponsored or single-centre; independent multi-centre randomized trials and longer-term safety follow-up are needed.

Safety and side effects

Common short-term side effects reported in trials include:
- Mild ocular irritation on instillation
- Temporary dim or blurred distance vision (especially in low light because of pupil constriction)
- Headache
- Rare allergic reactions

Long-term safety for newer drops is less established; clinicians should evaluate each patient individually.

Practical considerations for patients and clinicians

- Not everyone will achieve perfect near vision; outcomes vary with age, baseline refractive status, and ocular health.
- Miotic drops act quickly but usually last only a few hours; some patients may require repeated daily dosing for sustained effect.
- Lens-targeting therapies may require longer daily dosing for weeks to see benefit.
- Discuss realistic expectations and potential side effects with an eye-care professional before starting treatment.

Limitations and research gaps

- More independent, multi-centre randomized trials are needed.
- Comparative effectiveness among different pharmacologic approaches is not fully settled.
- Interaction with pre-existing eye conditions (for example, cataract or glaucoma) requires careful study.

Conclusion

Evidence indicates that certain prescription eye drops— notably pilocarpine-based formulations — can produce measurable near-vision improvements within one hour for many patients. The term “fully restore” depends on individual factors and measurement criteria. These drops are a meaningful, rapidly acting option for presbyopia, but clinicians and patients should weigh benefits against transient side effects and the limited long-term independent data available.

The Wrong Road, The Right View

“The wrong Zoom link is sometimes the right life link.”

Abstract

“You ever notice how life feels like clicking the wrong Zoom link, but suddenly you’re in the right meeting? Yeah, that’s how doors in life work—awkward, random, and sometimes surprisingly perfect. ”

We all chase the “right” doors in life—dream jobs, perfect homes, flawless plans—as if they’ll guarantee happiness. But here’s the funny truth: life rarely sends a Google Maps link. Instead, it deposits us in unfamiliar rooms we never booked. Some look dull, some feel overwhelming, and some turn out to be the most unexpectedly perfect detours.

ðŸ’Ą “The wrong road often takes you to the right view.”

That “failure” you thought ended your progress? Perhaps it simply redirected you toward a better perspective. That random opportunity you almost ignored? It could be your golden ticket. Life’s GPS is glitchy, but it still knows where to drop you—just not always where you planned.

The Hidden Reality

ðŸ’Ą “The door you expected isn’t always the door you need.”

Not all victories are picture-perfect. Some are deeply personal—like making it through a day that gave you 100 reasons to quit, but you still smiled anyway. Or handling chaos without letting it handle you.

So don’t measure yourself by the doors that stayed shut. Instead, notice the quiet ones that opened—opportunities you didn’t plan, friendships you didn’t expect, moments of peace you didn’t think you’d find. Those doors are easy to miss because they don’t come with confetti… but they matter the most.

Financial Stress: The Uninvited Roommate

At the end of the day, let’s be real—most of us are working for financial support, not just passion projects. Passion is lovely, but bills don’t clap when you follow your dreams. And financial stress? Oh, it has perfect timing—it knocks right when you’re already juggling ten other things.

But here’s the twist: instead of letting money worries shut every door, try walking through life with a little humor. Budget smart, save where you can, but don’t let fear be the landlord of your happiness. Sometimes, enjoying the wrong road (with its messy detours) helps you see that financial stress is just another puzzle piece—not the whole picture.

A Gentle Suggestion (From One Life Traveller to Another)

Laugh at the detours—they’re proof you’re still moving.

Trust the awkward doors—they’re not mistakes, just unexpected lessons.

Balance passion and paycheck—but remember, stress doesn’t own you unless you hand it the keys.

Today’s Trendy Truth 💎

In an age of hustle culture and success stories, everyone feels “behind” at some point. But not all wins come with hashtags or applause. Some are quieter—like being kind when it’s hard, or finding calm when everything’s noisy.

The best doors in life don’t have handles—they just swing open when you laugh.

🌟 Final Thought

✨ Life isn’t really about choosing the perfect playlist—it’s about how you flow with the song that’s playing. You may not always get the track you requested, but you can still sing off-key, tap your feet, and enjoy the beat that showed up. And honestly, that’s the music worth dancing to.

"Meet My Therapist: She’s 20 Feet Tall and Photosynthesizes"

“Life lessons from a tree… after chasing it for

41 years.”

Abstract

For 41 years, I chased life like it owed me answers — careers, relationships, health goals, even a cleaner desk. Then, one afternoon, a tree quietly ruined my hustle. It had everything I’d been sprinting toward: growth without rushing, balance without calendars, and peace without Wi-Fi. This is the hilariously honest story of how a leafy bystander taught me that you don’t find life’s meaning by chasing it… you grow into it.

Let's Dive In

Let me confess something: for most of my life, I’ve been running as most of us does.

Every human today is tired.
Some are tired of work.
Some are tired of financial problems.
Some are tired of relationships.
Some are tired without even knowing why.

I was the same. For years, I kept asking:
Why is life like this? Why can’t things just be smooth?

So, I’ve been running.
Not actual marathons — but running after something.
Things. Success. Approval and Not one, the list goes on.... The perfect future. And once… an ice cream cart that disappeared before I could catch it. And occasionally… my phone, because I forgot where I kept it.

At 41, I thought I had some wisdom.
Instead, I had dark circles, back pain, and a bank of stories beginning with “Once, I was in a hurry…”

I was convinced that if I moved faster, thought harder, and planned better, life would finally say, “Congratulations, you win!”
but,  it  never said that.

Then came The Tree Moment.

It was just an ordinary afternoon.
I was sitting under a tree, sulking about some delayed life plans, when I noticed:

The more I thought about it, the more I realized trees have it figured out:

  • Storms? They don’t run. They stand still and hold on.
  • Pests? They endure — and still bloom later.
  • Loss? They shed and move on.

Humans? We get a small problem and suddenly start writing emotional Facebook posts.

It wasn’t on Social media, comparing its branches to other trees.
It wasn’t scrolling for “5 hacks to grow leaves faster.”
It wasn’t even moving!
Atleast, doesn't expect an applause or a reward.

And yet… it was growing. Strong. Calm. Trusting the seasons.

Intellectual recognition by the Tree:

"Neither an applause nor a reward makes us live. Just breathe to live."

“Life is not in a hurry… you are.”

I thought of my own “seasons”:

Career Season:

I once dreamed of becoming The Medical Professional — you know, the kind of person with innovative treatment plans, a polished surgical equipment, and maybe even a clinic that stays alive in patients mind.
Now? I’m surprisingly happy doing what I do, even if my “big accomplishment” for the day is cleaning my desk stacked with books, papers, and that mystery pen that disappears and reappears like a magic trick.

Relationship Season:

Never imagined it would turn out the way it did.
But somehow, things are moving on their own — without my control, without my deep strategic thinking — yet in perfect coordination, like a dance where I don’t know the steps but still don’t step on anyone’s toes.
Not disgusted. Not disappointed. Actually… well.

Health Season:

Planned to be fit enough to do all my work with energy.
But some days, even breaking a block of instant noodles feels like weightlifting, and churning a bar of soap in my hands feels like an upper-body workout.
Turns out, my body also runs on seasons — and sometimes it chooses “low battery mode” without warning.

Meanwhile, me?

"I’ve been running around like a phone on 1% battery looking for a charger."
If I work hard and see no results, I start rearranging my entire plan like a confused interior designer.
If life gives me a delay, I check the calendar twice — just in case the universe forgot the deadline.
"If my plants take forever to bloom, I sit next to them like we’re both waiting for rain in a desert.”

The Tree’s Whisper:

The message was simple:
“Do the work in front of you.
Prepare for what’s far away.
Trust the seasons.”

Now, I’m still human. I still have bills and dreams and random 2 a.m. worries.
But I’ve started growing like a tree:
ðŸŒŋ Standing strong.
🍂 Letting go of nonsense.
ðŸŒļ Blooming when it’s time.

Because I finally realized:
🌟 “The meaning of your life won’t arrive faster if you chase it. But it will arrive if you live it.”

Final Takeaway

"Turns out, life’s meaning doesn’t need chasing — it’s already sitting beside you, quietly waiting for you to stop running long enough to notice."
